I’ll give my name when I see how all of this blogging stuff is going to go, I started this SIX months ago, while I’m not new to writing, it’s been a real learning experience, and continues to be challenging, but fun!

I’m married to the same man for 33 years (Yeah I know, Imagine That!) We have Two kids in their 20’s and a “Pitiful Pit Bull” named Maya. I’m a 53 year old Grandmother by Day and as a hobby I MC/DJ and dabble in vocals by night. I love every minute of it and have for the last 12 years!  (finally figured out what my big mouth was for!!!:)….. LOL ….Formally I enjoyed being a professional multi-media artist for more than 30 years, working in Wood sculpture, Clay Sculpture, Water color and Gouche’. Yes I’ve tried everything!!…As a Hobby I enjoy landscape, building stonewalls and fishponds & gardens. I have collected, refinished and restored Primitive Antiques since I was 17…..’ Fame?? “Eh, I’ve been around a little ,… Early American Life Magazine in the Early 90’s  my Limited Edition Print A Depiction of Noahs Ark Entitled “And the Animals Came”, Pennsylvania Magazine did an article on me in the 80’s, Local newspapers, I’ve a published poem written after my mother’s death in 96, with the Library of Poetry (Editors choice)…I have a children’s book written and waiting for me to illustrate it at the moment. When I get time, I’d like to see if I can Publish it for my Granddaughter. I have a few songs I’ve written, one of which is with a friend somewhere in Nashville…A short story, a haunted mystery… I’ve done a few commercials for local TV,…..The family and I’ve Traveled up and down the East Coast and into the Midwest offering my work for sale in National Trade Shows, just like a pack of Gypsies.  We’ve had the pleasure of seeing  some of America, had a great time and have met and made some wonderful friends along the way. I closed the business twice, once in 90 due to a fire, we lost it all, came back with very little inventory, did two shows and closed it for good, in the early 90’s to care for my Mother & Dad until their deaths in 96 and 2003, now we’re helping to raise grand kids and a mother in law with alzheimer’s..

It was discovered early 90’s, I had a rare form of Glaucoma, I’m one of 5 in the United States with it, (go figure!) at that time there was no cure and was told I’d eventually go blind. I decided I wasn’t dwelling on it and moved on with my life. 2003-2004 proved a turning point for me, with a new surgical procedure. Between the good Lord & 5 surgeries, it put me back in action. I can’t work small anymore, as a result, so when life hands ya lemons ya make lemonade, I began to take an interest in Creating life size Static and Animatronic Latex, Clay & Multimedia Creatures for our Halloween stage show, we are up to six different ones we’ve finished and that’s been an absolute blast! Cuz I love Halloween!
……Yes I’m a busy woman, it all sounds good,  but  No, I’m not internationally famous, nor rich. I Haven’t traveled the world or discovered a new land (yet) and I don’t have the college degree like most folks do in the blog-o-sphere,  so any talent, I’ve been graced with is from the good lord. and use it to the best of my ability. …Quite simply Folks, my blog americairemember.com Is a collection of writing of my past to the present. I’ve had quite an interesting life thus far, perhaps what I’ve been through both bad and good and may help someone else get through a tough time too. I won’t spend the time here with it, you can read about some of my life on my posts.
My husband and I’ve Been around politics for more than 30 years, as my husbands father was a staunch republican in Pa, working at the State and Local level in Politics. He also ran for Legislature in 1972 and lost by 54 votes. As well working for his good friend the Former Congressman Schulz for many years….. Well, In other words we know enough to be dangerous about politics, but we’re always willing to learn, now more than ever!
My husband and I were Born & Bred in the Rural rolling hills of Southeast Pa, the America we knew as Children has disappeared and now just a memory, and we want it back.

I preach to the choir and shoot from the hip. I’m passionate in my beliefs. I believe to thine own self be true, at 53, I’m not what people expect me to be and don’t do trends…… We respect our service men and women, and those that paved the way for us to be free…We believe in God and aren’t afraid to say so. We say Merry Christmas and/or Happy Easter. We don’t believe in special interest groups, we believe if you are a citizen of the United States, we are all AMERICANS, “ONE NATION UNDER GOD”. Save your foreign language for the home, learn the language of being American, which is English. If you you want to be an American, then do it, Legally. Don’t come here and try to change us.

We say the Pledge of Alligence to the Flag and hold fast to our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights (which is under fire) We believe the Liberals and the Obama Adminstration are trying to dissolve America, as we know it into Socialistic Realm.  In conclusion,… I’m not looking to be the next Ann Coulter, or Rush Limbaugh, if I was, you’d know my name.  My blog is a place where I can go,  share my conservative views with those who are interested, …Thank you for your time, GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
