Someone telling you to follow your heart, is a hell of a lot harder than it sounds. What you think and feel at 20 is much different, than how you are at 50. So much water passes under the bridge, so many mistakes and successes,  families grow and die,___ what we’ve experienced, has helped to lead us, to who we are today___if we make it____and we remember___

I was born in the 50’s, the land of “Leave it to Beaver”, a time where our mothers stayed home and raised the kids, while our fathers worked. Eisenhower was our President at the time, in fact I went to school with Eisenhowers Great nephew, Elwood. The 60’s came and these years were filled with Woodstock, Segregation, the assassination of JFK, and the sexual revolution and we watched it all unfold on our black and white TV’s and in the local news papers.

The 70’s brought disco era, with bright lights, the movie, Saturday Night Live, Dance Fever, Booze, Platform shoes, the coming out of gays, drugs and sleeping with everyone at anytime became a favorite pass time, until the 80’s, no one remembered a thing__The 80’s were Big Bands, Bigger Hair, sex drugs and rock and roll, The Culture club, Frankie goes to Hollywood and the discovery of aids.

From The 90’s to the 2000’s, found America a lot less loose and a little more conservative sexually, but something else was happening through the years, that was beginning to rear it’s ugly head__a sad and gradual shift, away from God and Family__It was becoming “More Cool” to be worldly, rather than to follow your heart. It’s  more suave to act as if one doesn’t have a care in the world. The “me generation” forming through the years. A generation who became, so pre-occupied with themselves, their careers, and whom suddenly said, they’ve fallen “out of love” with their spouses, and walk away destroying whole families__in one fell swoop, in search of a better life____a generation who acts, as if, the rest of us never felt that way, oh we have, but it’s the ones with balls who stay in it, only cowards run. If there’s abuse or drug abuse, you can’t change those people unless they change themselves, then run for safety you must.___

In the 2000’s God is gone from the schools, pastors are preaching to empty pews or a sleeping congregation__innocent babies are aborted, when birth control is just as convenient, and not  murderous, if the woman is not too lazy to go to the store and buy it and then use it. Children are left in politically correct day cares, for someone else to wreck their views of the world, on this tiny, unknowing, innocent future. It’s cool, for women to have a career and children and a home, and be single too. Sadly, while they tell themselves they don’t need a man to have it all, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Siblings and Day Care Centers, “the baby sitters”, paint a much different story.

In 2000, Wether our hearts are 20 or 50, we are born, we live and we die. We can either waste our time on ouselves, or we can work to ensure our children have a future, so they and America have a fighting chance. America in the beginning were comprised of God fearing men and women. It may not be cool or suave to get on your knees and ask Christ Jesus to watch over our children and America,  cuz God forbid anyone finds out you pray____

Memorial Day, SUNDAY: The day couldn’t have been more beautiful for our annual Memorial Day Celebration, this year was a first, a ” Pig Roast”. The Atmosphere was jovial, By 6 o’clock, close to, 90 people covered our back yard Patio, with more arriving., kids were happily playing, with my Granddaughter still trying to catch FAT FREDDIE, our resident Bullfrog in the fish pond, little red, white and blue footballs were flyin through the air, the Beer was flowin’, we had enough food for an army, the Pig was ready, roasted and being carved by my Husband, “Chef G” to perfection, Jello Shots galore, The equipment was set up and ready for a night of Karaoke fun and,… then…. my pregnant daughter, due that Tuesday, 2 days away, whispers, “Mom, I’m in Labor”……Well, Instead of my MC voice, I moved into Gestapo mode, politely barking orders to friends, Amid my usual rant ” Where in the Hell, is my Frickin’ car keys?” and to a few close friends to” Hold down the fort, that I’ll be back, were going to go have a baby!” Her Contractions were comin’ fast and heavy and I knew it wouldn’t be long, My Daughters husband nervously got the car, while My Daughter breathed through another contraction…. At 6:30 we arrived at the Hospital, and mere half and hour later, at 7:01, in delivery, we welcomed our healthy 7 pound, 6oz, Grandson “Alexander” to the World. Mother and son are doin’ fine! I stayed long enough to hold our little Holiday gift, kiss my daughter and her husband, and made my way back through the Hospital to the car, all the while, still trying to find “my frickin’ Car Keys?”  I made  a valiant effort not cry while driving, but it didn’t work and thanked Jesus for the warm, wonderful day and for Guiding both my Daughter & her New little Son safely through Labor and Delivery.

As I drove up our driveway, and walked up the Backyard” Cheers” rang out, as tears streamed down my face,  I finally found Grandpa in the maze of family and friends as we cried & gave thanks together.

Life is Good, Thanks be to God!

I recieved this as an email this morning, I don’t know if this letter is for real or not; couldn’t find it on Snopes or truthorfiction.  But even if it isn’t legit, it’s a great letter.

I have had it with you and your administration, sir.  Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the  United States of America collectively or of me personally.
You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the  United States of America .  You are responsible to the citizens of the United States ..  You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.
I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the  United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world.  Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of  Europe ?  Are you brain dead?  What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about?  Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?
Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the  United States does not consider itself a Christian country?  Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the  United States20?  This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage.  Do you not understand this?
Your bowing to the king of  Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans.  Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of  Saudi Arabia .  You don’t show  Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of  Saudi Arabia .  How dare you, sir!  How dare you!
You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in  Turkey .  You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves.  What’s the matter with you?
I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.
You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them?  Anything?  I seriously doubt it.
What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members – on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves?  I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus.  I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.  You haven’t said anything about that.  Who authorized that?  I surely didn’t!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses.  In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million – not a bad take.    Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now.
I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do.
We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.
I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities.
I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

1. She was in the bathroom, putting on her makeup, under the watchful
eyes of her young granddaughter, as she’d done many times before. After
she applied her lipstick and started to leave, the little one said, “But
Gramma, you forgot to kiss the toilet paper good-bye!” I will probably
never put lipstick on again without thinking about kissing the toilet
paper good-bye…

2. My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He
asked me how old I was, and I told him, 62. My grandson was quiet for a
moment, and then he asked, “Did you start at 1?”

3. After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into
old slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she
heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew
thin. Finally, she threw a towel around her head and stormed into their
room, putting them back to bed with stern warnings. As she left the
room, she heard the three-year-old say with a trembling voice, “Who was
THAT?”

4. A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own
childhood was like: “We used to skate outside on a pond I had a swing
made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our
pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods.” The little girl was

decided to test her. I would point out something and ask what color it
was. She would tell me and was always correct. It was fun for me, so I
continued. At last, she headed for the door, saying, “Grandma, I think
you should try to figure out some of these, yourself!”

8. When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the
lights off until we were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects.
Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them before I did, Billy
whispered, “It’s no use Grandpa. Now the mosquitoes are coming after us
with flashlights.”

9. When my grandson asked me how old I was, I teasingly replied, “I’m
not sure.” “Look in your underwear, Grandpa,” he advised, “mine says I’m
4 to 6.”

10. A second grader came home from school and said to her grandmother,
“Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today.” The
grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool.
“That’s interesting,” she said, “how do you make babies?” “It’s simple,”
replied the girl. “You just change ‘y’ to ‘i’ and add ‘es’.”

11. Children’s Logic: “Give me a sentence about a public servant,” said
a teacher. The small boy wrote: “The fireman came down the ladder
pregnant.” The teacher took the lad aside to correct him. “Don’t you
know what pregnant means?” she asked. “Sure,” said the young boy
confidently. ‘It means carrying a child.”

12. A grandfather was delivering his grandchildren to their home one day
when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire
truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog’s
duties.. “They use him to keep crowds back,” said one child. “No,” said
another. “He’s just for good luck.” A third child brought the argument
to a close.”They use the dogs,” she said firmly, “to find the fire
hydrants.”

13. A 6-year-old was asked where his grandma lived. “Oh,” he said, “she
lives at the airport, and when we want her, we just go get her. Then,
when we’re done having her visit, we take her back to the airport.”

14. Grandpa is the smartest man on earth! He teaches me good things, but
I don’t get to see him enough to get as smart as him!

15. My Grandparents are funny, when they bend over; you hear gas leaks,
and they blame their dog.

I read  this piece of news this morning about all the nonsense with the democrats raggin’ on rush limbaugh. My Question is WHY?…I could end my commentary after I say “Freedom of Speech”?….Such as it is, “OPINIONS ARE LIKE ASSHOLES, WE ALL HAVE ONE, DON’T WE??….Americans mostly democrats I presume were more than Happy to send off George Bush on Obama’s inauguration day to a tune of “Na Na, Na Na Na Na, HEY HEY HEY, Goodbye” Never mind it was down right disrespectful and insolent, it Seemed everyone was quite amused, weren’t they?…ISN’T THAT FREEDOM OF SPEECH????….Then you had Hilary and Bill Clinton walking down the aisle as well and all Hands WENT UP AS IF, THEY WERE A KING AND QUEEN WALKING ON THE RED CARPET!…..i GUESS YOU HAVE TO SLEEP AROUND AT THE WHITE HOUSE, AND THEN LIE ON NATIONAL TV ABOUT IT, TO GET ANY RESPECT???…FUNNY HOW IT WORKS, ISN’T IT?….Politicians remind me of bunch of school children…NANNY NANNY FOO FOO… ONLY HERE, THE The one who has the most MONEY win!…. SCENARIO – JOHNNY AND MARK GET INTO FIST FIGHT AFTER SCHOOL.

1957 – A CROWD GATHERS. MARK WINS. JOHNNY AND MARK SHAKE HANDS AND END UP BUDDIES.

2007 – POLICE CALLED, SWAT TEAM ARRIVES, ARRESTS JOHNNY AND MARK. CHARGES THEM WITH ASSAULT, BOTH ARE EXPELLED EVEN THOUGH JOHNNY STARTED IT

SCENARIO – JEFFERY WON’T BE STILL IN CLASS, DISRUPTS OTHER STUDENTS.

1957 – JEFFERY SENT TO OFFICE AND GIVEN A GOOD PADDLING BY PRINCIPLE. RETURNS TO CLASS. JEFFERY SITS STILL AND DOES NOT DISRUPT CLASS AGAIN

2007- JEFFERY GIVEN A HUGE DOSE OF RITALIN. BECOMES ZOMBIE. TESTED FOR ADD. SCHOOL GETS EXTRA MONEY FROM STATE BECAUSE JOHNNY HAS A DISABILITY.

SCENARIO – BILLY BREAKS A WINDOW IN HIS NEIGHBORS CAR, BILLY’S DAD GIVES HIM A WHIPPIN WITH HIS BELT.

1957 – BILLY IS MORE CAREFUL THE NEXT TIME. GROWS UP NORMAL, GOES TO COLLEGE, BECOMES A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN.

2007 – BILLY’S DAD IS ARRESTED FOR CHILD ABUSE. BILLY REMOVED AND PLACED IN FOSTER CARE AND JOINS A GANG. STATE PSYCHOLOGIST TELLS BILLY’S SISTER THAT SHE REMEMBERS BEING ABUSED HERSELF. THEIR DAD GOES TO PRISON, BILLY’S MOM HAS AFFAIR WITH PSYCHOLOGIST.

SCENARIO – MARK GETS A HEADACHE AND TAKES SOME ASPRIN TO SCHOOL.

1957 – MARK SHARES ASPRIN WITH PRINCIPLE OUT ON SMOKING DOCK.

2007 – POLICE CALLED, MARK GETS EXPELLED FROM SCHOOL FOR DRUG VIOLATION. HIS CAR SEARCHED FOR DRUGS AND WEAPONS.

SCENARIO – PEDRO FAILS HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH.

2007 – PEDRO’S CAUSE IS TAKEN UP BY THE STATE. NEWS PAPER ARTICLES APPEAR NATIONALLY EXPLAINING THAT TEACHING ENGLISH AS A  REQUIREMENT FOR GRADUATION IS RACIST. ACLU FILES CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST PEDRO’S TEACHER AND THE SCHOOL. ENGLISH IS BANNED FORM CORE CURRICULUM. PEDRO GIVEN DIPLOMA ANYWAY, BUT ENDS UP MOWING LAWNS FOR A LIVING BECAUSE HE CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH

SCENARIO – JOHNNY TAKES APART LEFTOVER FIRECRACKERS FROM 4TH OF JULY. PUTS THEM IN A MODEL AIRPLANE PAINT BOTTLE, BLOWS UP A RED ANT BED.

1957 – ANTS DIE.

2007 – BATF, HOMELAND SECURITY, FBI CALLED, JOHNNY CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC TERRORISIUM, FBI INVESTIGATES PARENTS, SIBLINGS REMOVED FROM HOME, COMPUTERS CONFISCATED, JOHNNY’S DAD GOES ON A TERROR WATCH LIST AND IS NEVER ALLOWED TO FLY AGAIN.

SCENARIO – JOHNNY FALLS WHILE RUNNING DURING RECESS AND SCRAPES HIS KNEE. HE IS FOUND BY MARY HIS TEACHER CRYING, MARY HUGS HIM TO COMFORT HIM.

1957 – IN A SHORT TIME JOHNNY FEELS BETTER AND GOES ON PLAYING.

2007 – MARY IS ACCUSED OF BEING A SEXUAL PREDATOR AND LOSES HER JOB. SHE FACES 3 YEARS IN A STATE PRISON. JOHNNY UNDERGOES FIVE YEARS OF   THERAPY

THIS SHOULD BE READ BY EVERYONE OF HOW OVER REACTIVE AND STUPID WE’VE BECOME!

My response to this is , Since when is it the Government’s Job or anyone Else’s for that fact, for helping someone to climb the “job ladder” or fund them to go to college?  CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG BUT, I always remembered being told by my folks, if I wanted something BAD ENOUGH, I had to work for it! My half sister went to work at 15 worked and put herself through college and retired from a career of more than 40 years teaching math in colleges, high and middle schools! I don’t remember her getting government assistance to do it either! It whats she wanted and she did it, no one else! What the hell for kind of thinking is that! Is there something I missed? like I said in previous writings “get a job and earn your own betterment and living! It’s just this kind of “bleeding heart society” we have today and the Government is just a s bad. Everyone thinks they have to intervene, to help, or call it what you will and delve into and better every one’s lives for a better America. America is built on hard working, intelligent individuals, You bleeding hearts are creating a society of “lazy leeches” that suck the life blood out of  Government and others in power, rather than, letting sleeping dogs lie! Opportunities are out there for the taking, anyone can do it! But it’s the matter of your own personal “drive” what you want to become, and whether or not you want to do, what it takes to have it!…COME ON, PEOPLE!..WAKE THE HELL UP!

Here’s and Example…A good friend of the family (dead now) came from a poor family of 8. He had an up to an 8th Grade Education. He worked his way up from a porter in a steel company to the Superintendent an part owner and in his later years was seriously involved with the Republicans and went on to work for the State and Federal Government!…True…Opportunities come “easier” to the Rich, because “Money Talks”, But Rich or Poor,  powerful people and Opportunities are strategically placed in each of our lives, in accordance to our lives, it is of our own intellect and choice and lil’ luck that defines or will define our success’s.  I’ll share with you what I was told as a child by my mother ( who was sick all of her 76 years) “WHEN GOD SHUTS A DOOR, JUMP THRU THE WINDOW!. It takes guts to succeed at any level, but you’ve got to do it, if you want success, no one else!

I’ve never seen such a society of people that have to be “spoon fed” in my life as their are in America today! Again, “Bleeding Hearts” and the “do gooders” of the world with all the right intentions and the wrong direction. Keep your “spoon Feeding” for those who truley need it, such as, the sick, the elderly and the extremly poor!…..We all have fallen on hard times at times in our lives, God says’ “this too shall pass” I believe that, rather than all the political rhetoric and down trodding news media! They make a bad situation worse…. ..Americans, Keep going and do the best ya can…if ya gotta lighten up spending, then do it!Do what ever it takes to keep going, but you are in charge of your own dreams, God will either prosper you or defeat you, but you’ll never know unless you try…….stop expecting anything! If you get help “out of the Blue along the way) then Thanks be to god! …but NO ONE OWES YOU A LIVING, YOUR ON YOUR OWN!
