ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!!

I’ve been watching Glenn Beck pretty intently about his message of Godlessness rising here in America, I believe is very very sad and very true. And I would like to take a step further__ For the people who know me, I’ve repeated this statement for years, “that if you take out God out of our lives, you eventually end up ushering in chaos, moving in metal detectors and the Police”. The evidence is clear, present danger is all around us.  Those who refuse to believe in God as something good and right, make fun of Christians, chide excuses, blaming the chaos on the times and our youths. They encourage conservatives to push more to the left, in order to stay with the ” cool atheistic crowd”.  A crowd that seems to think an atheistic view of life and an “I make my own rules attitude”, is the way to go. It seems to be the the in THING today, to believe you got the world by the ass and to be snide and cynical of those of us who do believe in God__sadly there’s a clear division.

I believe there is a right path to live a good life and it begins in the home. but you need the basis as a child. Without it, your like a baby left on a deserted island with no direction other than an instinct of survival. As I’ve repeated so many times over the years as well ,  So many marriages end up in divorces today, because of an ( me attitude)__this desertion, destroys whole families, leaving these young children, divided in love, scared as hell and feeling very alone. I’m not suggesting, this  it can’t be overcome, it can, but I believe the insecurities that go along with it, can and does, have lasting effects. Children of divorce many times end up divorced themselves. My Parents however did not divorce, but I did however live with abuse._ I was physically abused by a family member, my baby sitter, who was my brothers wife. Now that may sound a little strange, but if you read any of my older posts, my brother was 16 almost 17 when I was born. I was 6 when the abuse began and my sister in law, was still verbally abusive even at my brothers funeral which was 12 years ago, still insistent of holding a 30 year grudge against, apparently jealous of my looks and talent at a young age.___I’m not sure how you excuse that kind of jealousy at 6?___But both during and after the abuse_I remember vividly feeling very ashamed and alone. I told my mother about a year after started, simply because I was ashamed and afraid I had done something wrong and would get my ass beat again, but by my Dad.  When mother approached my sister in-law about the abuse, she lied to my mother,_ and said,_ that I was the one who was lying about her beating me_With her being an adult, my mother naturally believed her and The abuse continued for 3 more years, until my mother saw her in the act, as I fell on the floor after she hit me.___the abuse finally ended but the pain didn’t___I remember worrying an asking god what had I done that was so bad for her to hate me____Now, at 53 I’ve come through this fairly well, but I am plagued with a skepticism of people, I don’t trust anyone easily and you pay hell if you lie to me. I’m a friendly sort of person, but I’m warey of people who try to invade my space, til I get to know them and I let them in.___to this day, I still jump when  someone grabs me from behind me.___Through the years, I told my dear husband, that He’s the closest thing, to love I’ll ever get, thankfully he’s always understood my past and has accepted me for more than 30 years despite my flaws.

I credit my faith in God for getting me this far. I remember first time I ever prayed, I was 7 when my 250 pound grandmother collapsed on the doorsteps after a walk we just took  in spring city pa. She  was later diagnosed as having a heart attack. I remember trying to get  her up the steps and into the house, but couldn’t lift her, so I  ran to the nearest neighbor and asked them call for an ambulance and my mother.  When the ambulance and mother and dad arrived, I disappeared into Grand-moms room, laying across her  bed crying and silently asked God not to let her die, she died many years later in 1983.

But my point is that with life there is responsibility. The absolute knowledge right and wrong___So much of today’s thought patterns are twisted, that we accept any kind of behavior, for what ever reason, with no accountability, we even take pills to cover it up. God gave the ten commandments, for guidance. Without rules and regulations, we’d kill ourselves off, much like we are doing today, slowly but surely. A lot of the youth and some older adults today seem to think they have a better plan and more complete set of rules than Gods. That somehow God’s plan for us, his word and the bible just doesn’t cut it, or is somehow out of date. God’s word is not suppose to meet any one’s expectations,  God’s not to be beneath us, he is to be first and last. God only calls you when he feels your are ready,__ you do have a choice,__ if you follow him, your expected to pick up your own cross and bear your own burdens,__ But with God’s own promise of guidance from the Holy Spirit. __yeah, I found out the hard way, I went off god’s path,__I had a hell of a good time too__but in time, an emptiness crept in, an emptiness I couldn’t ignore___I found out,  you can ignore his calling, his word, or ignore the truth of your own heart, but when  if you ask God for answers the air is silent_ and in time you will flounder. I too, thought I had a better plan, that I could twist what I wanted to also fit in with Gods plans. But it doesn’t work that way. It wasn’t long before I realized, that I was lost without the prayer and comfort of God’s love. the love, that I grew to revere & trust all of my life.

I too, believe Our Country is growing further and further away from God. First he was removed from schools. The text books don’t even depict Jesus properly, he’s referred to as a Persian?!? Atheists try to have his words removed form government buildings_ Then there’s, Christmas?__hardly a word is allowed to be muttered any more about it, unless it’s a winter carnival, without some kind of repercussion. If you wish an atheist a Merry Christmas, not all, but a lot become offended. Frankly I don’t play into this hand of cards, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, at Christmas time, if your offended that’s your choice,  then simply ignore it, but I refuse to stop it.

The Trinity, the Father,  Son and Holy Ghost have been trampled, spat on and burned, but God and the bible never have  completely disappeared. __Below is a true story _OUT OF THE ASHES, the home that burned in the story, was ours, the year was 1990___

___the fire was finally out after 8 hours___ my husband and I tried frantically to put out the fire__but both of us ended up in the ambulance on oxygen from smoke inhalation__the cause,   the clothes dryer, which caught fire while drying the clothes, we wore from a weekend trip to the mountains__ ___we were all safe_  but the tears still came,  while we walked through the house trying to salvage what we could, when broken glass crunched beneath our feet.  Hammers rang out from the basement below, as the firemen shored up the rest of the floor we were walking on, so it wouldn’t collapse__In the coolness of the night, steam rose from the water soaked carpeting and mingled with the smokey black water that was dripping from the white plastered ceilings,___15 years_ 15 years of our life was reduced to a burnt memory, in one single night_____

AS WE PICKED THROUGH THE WRECKAGE, we over turned furniture and salvaged what we could,__A dim light brightened, when our son found” Deeni” his little stuffed dinosaur who was wet with a melted tail, but our boy tucked him up under his arm anway and continued on___We  were careful not to touch the walls, as we made our way through the hall way to the bathroom__the once white walls were burnt black with plaster already falling off the wall__ The Plastic dimmer switches melted in an up position, from the up draft of the 2000 degree fire___ my contact lens container melted flat onto the vanity___the drinking glass by the sink warped like a wave under the intense heat, while the mirror still oozed black water from the cracks within it___nothing was salvagable in there either___ Suddenly a voice came from the attic, shouting__”GET OUT , GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, IT’S COLLAPSING!!”___we grabbed the kids by the waist and the four of us ran out as fast as we could, almost falling out the front door,__ seconds later, we heard a horrendous roar and a crash as wet musky smoke, began to pour out from the hallway___ after the dust settled, we were then cleared by the firemen to go back in the house, as we did, we found the bedroom ceilings had givenway from the weight of the wet plaster and it layed in twisted metal clumps breaking the bedframes as it fell___At this point we were only trying to find clothes and shoes to wear__the shoes I had on during the fire, melted when I stood on the flagstone just as the floor started to burn through___meanwhile,  in our bedroom  _ as we dug through the rubble, with flash lights, dust particles floated through the air as we finally came across our suitcase, that was still packed from the weekend away. We carefully moved more junk and pulled it from under the fallen ceiling ___In the meantime,  our son was in what was left of his room just across the hall. His ceiling was down too, along with, bent & broken curtain rods with curtains ripped from the broken black windows, when the ceilings fell,_ he couldn’t even see his bed__Finally as we made our way back out the hallway, we stopped at our daughters room across from the bathroom___the windows were so scorched and black we couldn’t see out of what was left of the window pane___ a 6×9 foot hole burned through her floor and took half her white bed with it, ___we knew, had she been sleeping, she have been killed__I just shook my head, as I gave her a thankful reassuring hug.___ In the midst of the chaos, Our daughter the quiet one, broke the tenseness of the moment with her brilliant statement after seeing her burned room the first time__she comically tooted ” and you and dad thought my room was a mess before” just for a moment we laughed, instead of cried____still, everything in her mint green and white room was black,____ her lamp shade reduced to a mere wire rim, still perched and melted fast to the dresser__ as we moved the flash light in and around the room and were about to leave, when the flash light caught notice of what looked like her teddy bear. The Teddy Bear, her great aunt gave her the year before. Our daughter asked if we’d try to get it, but we tried to assure her that it had to be burned__Oddly enough, with a closer look, it seemed it was the only thing left in the room that actually wasn’t black__ Her Dad and I carefully stepped on the carpet, trying not to fall through the floor and leaned in an scooped up the  bear__ examining the bear more closely under the flash light in the hallway,  to our amazement we found, the bear wasn’t even touched by the flames, even though it was laying practically falling through the hole in the floor. What’s more it wasn’t even wet from the water from the fire hoses!___We panned down once again with the flash light and peered back at the hole in her floor__  there was a clear outline of where her bear lay on the carpet,__with in the outline of the bear,  also lay our daughters Bible___it too, was untouched_ __not black or burned, nor even wet!__ Both the bear and the bible were completely unscathed___we stared in amazement, as a chill ran down our spines__ a smile grew across my face because I immediately knew, my husband did too___who indeed was in charge___it wasn’t us who tried in vain to put out the fire, it wasn’t all the people god sent to help us__ God himself was there__

___God, the Bible and have been jeered, spat on, rejected and burned through the ages, but he and his promises, will always rise out from the ashes, and dwell in the hearts of those that choose to believe in him___TLN

I CAN ATTEST TO THIS AS A  SKEPTIC, ALL TOO OFTEN MANY PEOPLE ONLY BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY THEMSELVES CAN SEE, TRUST IS DIFFICULT, BUT IF YOU TAKE THE CHANCE, WHEN IT COMES TO GOD, HIS GREATEST MIRACLES LAY, UNSEEN, BUT FELT IN OUR HEARTS__IN TIME HIS MIRACLES ARE REVEALED___

AMERICA NEEDS TO HEAL, WE NEED TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN ABOSOLUTES OF RIGHT AND WRONG, NO EXCEPTIONS!, THEY CAN ONLY LEARN FROM IT US___WE CAN BE INDIVIDUALS THROUGH GOD, WE DON”T HAVE TO DENOUNCE HIM, OR DEVELOP AN ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE IN ATTEMPTS TO BE DIFFERENT, FIT IN OR STAND OUT IN SOCIETY. _  GOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN HERE, BUT IT’S WE, WHO HAVE CHANGED,__

WE NEED TO RETURN TO OUR ROOTS, AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD

WHAT’S WITH THIS SH*T OF YOUR CONSTITUENTS HAVING TO CALL TO REQUEST A TOWN HALL MEETING ON HEALTH CARE, WHEN YOU’RE ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF A TOWN HALL MEETING? THAT’S PUSHING YOUR WEIGHT AROUND? The Bill of Rights

THE FOLLOWING IS  AN OPINION OF WHAT I BELIEVE OUR BILL OF RIGHTS TELL US, MY OPINION IS IN FULL CAPS UNDER EACH AMENDMENT. HEART FELT THOUGHTS ON AMERICA TO FOLLOW.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

OPINION: GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT IMPOSE UPON THE PEOPLE, A UNIVERSAL RELIGION AND FORCE THEM INTO INTO IT….GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT PROHIBIT THE PEOPLE FROM EXERCISING THEIR RIGHT TO RELIGION….GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT STOP FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FREEDOM OF THE PRESS OR THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO PEACEFUL GATHERING….GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT STOP THE PEOPLE FROM AIRING THEIR GRIVANCES  IN THE OPEN.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

OPINION: OUR ARMY IS TO BE WELL TRAINED AND AT THE READY TO DEFEND THESE UNITED STATES AGAINST THOSE WHO WOULD HARM US…GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT STOP US FROM KEEPING AND BEARING ARMS TO PROTECT OURSELVES.

Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

OPINION: NO SOLDIERS ARE TAKE RESIDENCE IN ONES HOME WITHOUT CONSENT OF THE OWNER, IN TIME OF WAR OR PEACE. THEY CANNOT SCOME IN AND TAKE OVER YOUR HOME.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

OPINION: WE THE PEOPLE ARE TO BE ABLE TO FEEL SAFE IN OURSELVES, OUR HOMES, IN ALL THAT WE OWN, OUR PERSON, NOR DWELLING ARE NOT TO BE INVADED, UNLESS THEIR IS PROBABLE CAUSE AND DONE WITH A SEARCH WARRANT,……WITH A FULL DETAILED DESCRIPTION, OF WHO AND WHY OUR DWELLING IS TO BE SEARCHED, AND WHAT AND WHO THEY ARE SEARCHING FOR.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

OPINION: NO ONE CAN BE TRIED FOR A CRIMINAL OFFENSE WITHOUT THE INDICTMENT OF A GRAND JURY. EXCEPT IN CASES OF THE LAND, NAVAL FORCES OR MILITARY SERVICE (THE MILITARY HAS  COURT MARTIAL LAW)…NO ONE CAN BE TRIED TWICE FOR THE SAME CRIME IN THE UNITED STATES. NO ONE SHALL BE A WITNESS AGAINST HIMSELF IN A CRIMINAL CASE. …NOR BE DEPRIVED OF LIFE, LIBERTY OR PROPERTY WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF THE LAW…. NOR SHALL PRIVATE PROPERTY BE TAKEN AND USED BY ANYONE WITH OUT PAYING FOR IT.

Amendment VI

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

OPINION:  SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

Amendment VII

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

OPINION: NO ONE CAN BE RE TRIED AGAIN FOR A CRIME HE WAS FOUND INNOCENT OF IN A CIVIL SUIT.

Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

OPINION: ALSO SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

OPINION: THE LIST OF OUR RIGHTS IN THE CONSTITUTION SHALL NOT BE USED TO PURPOSELY INTEND TO DISHONOR OTHER RIGHTS RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

STATES RIGHTS. WHICH MEANS, EACH STATE AND IT’S RESIDENTS, HAVE IT’S OWN CONSTITUTION ( BUT IT IS NOT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE RIGHTS OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES) BUT RATHER WITHIN IT

233 years ago, My, My, if our only our Fore Fathers could return and see what America has become. They would be delighted at America’s progress & enlightenment and also filled with despair.

DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE, (a portion of),  We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness…….

These words written many years ago, began with the Creator, the Lord,  Our God. These words were penned by mortal men with extraordinary courage and valore. Although the generations march forward through the years, each of us, hold the year 1776 firmly in our minds & hearts. We cling to it’s meaning now probably now more so than ever.  On the one hand, Most of us do not distort our founding documents meanings, in an effort to prove ones righteous opinion, we take it at face value. By face value, I mean we don’t distort it’s meaning, because we live in different times. RIGHT IS STILL RIGHT AND WRONG IS STILL WRONG, PERIOD. Our founding documents are immortal truths, penned for all time. They’re meaning doesn’t change, because they don’t suit another way of thinking.  Although sadly, our leaders today are trying dissuade us into believing their direction is in line with that of the Fore Fathers. It seems now fitting for us to remind ourselves today, as we near the 4th, to remember those who lived, fought and died for America to be free. We also must continue to remind ourselves, that Freedom isn’t Free. Tales of the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, the War on Terror to name a few, remind us, of the cost and the perils of being and remaining a free nation. We as Americans have a duty. It is the Duty of each of us as American individuals  to be continually vigilant of the dangers of those who hate our freedom, both foreign and domestic. To gather together as a whole, to form “One Nation Under God” to protect our selves, our young and each of our in-alienable rights as Americans. President Lincoln said it best when he stated that ” a nation that divides against itself , will not stand”.

Although there is much to celebrate here in America, There is also great division here on our soil. All of the protections mentioned in The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights were needed & forseen by the Framers. They knew. They knew, and experienced first hand the tyranny, dictatorship and slavery (although not abolished yet). If the Framers didn’t experience and know of the danger we’d be up against, being a free nation, why would they draft documents to protect us, how would they know what protections we’re needed for us to remain free? It’s quite evident they tasted tyranny’s evil forces. My husband and I must Admit, we’ve never felt more ill -at-ease with the Obama Adminstration in power. Never before, have we felt the need to be as aware and watchful of our current leaders in Washington, as we’ve become. There is a knot in the pit of my stomach, I’ve only experienced 3 times before. Once when my mother died, at my Fathers death and my brothers death.  Our youth today seems to think America has to turn direction, that the constitution and the declaration of Independence are the ways of old and out of date somehow. Our youth seem to think that because a nominee, a man on the campaign trail of the Presidency, who is a great orator, saying all the right things, making promises the people want to hear, rather than the truth, is somehow honest.. Our youth believe and fall for those men who carry themselves in a American, patriotic manner, but who are really wolves in sheep’s clothing. Our youth are naive. They don’t read the past performances and historical policies and nature of the men campaigning for office, they judge them by their words and their own foolish hope for change. At 53, I can tell you, you don’t really know what you have until it’s gone and too late to make a difference. Our Constitution was provided by brilliant men, to cover the ass’s of those who are naive. Freedom means exactly the same thing today in 2009 as it did in 1776. The meanings haven’t changed, but the people have. With the popularity of our president coming off of the honey moon high at 101 days, the people are beginning to come out of their comas.  But still, there are those who will continue to follow the officials who speak of hope and change, but produce nothing. There will always be those tempted to jump into the fire because the leaders think it’s right. Those that get burnt are the ones who refuse to see all sides of the coin. America will only survive if we stay vigilant, study it’s history and pass along to our children the whole truth. We cannot not leave our freedom to any one else, for they are not to be trusted. We have to know in our hearts of hearts, what kind of men and women who seek office and who will do the people and Washington Justice. We have gotten lazy, instead of trusting our God and our knowledge of the history of our country, we turned to throwing freedom to the wolves and merely hope for the best.

Freedom then and now remains the same, it’s the people who have changed. If the majority of the people who vote for change, vote without knowledge of our protections, our constitutional rights, and background of the leaders who seek office, then we deserve what we get and can only honestly blame ourselves, WE NEED TO STUDY OUR CAMPAIGNING OFFICIALS PAST and present PERFORMANCES, TO WATCH WHAT THEY DO AND NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY. OUR VIGILANCE  WILL TELL THE STORY.

America, 233 years has passed.  Sadly many people cannot fathom what it took to get here, some don’t care, but those of us who had family in the war OF FREEDOM through the years and believe in the Bill of Rights, The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence, and last but not least, our God Given inalienable rights from our creator, God himself, we do care, and we do know what it takes to keep what we have….. that is the willingness to learn, pass along that knowledge and to stay ever vigilant in a never ending, quest to preserve the Truth of what it means to be Free.

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hear the “Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act.”

Matthew Krause is an attorney from the organization.

“All the hate crimes legislation does is penalize people who have thoughts and words that our contrary to what some people might believe,” Krause said. “If a pastor was to speak against homosexuality or other social issues and somebody in the congregation that day were to go and commit an act of violence against a homosexual, the pastor in effect could be charged with the crime for citing the hate crime that ensued,” he added.

The Liberty Counsel is urging everyone to contact their Congressmen and Senators.

“Tell them this is a bad idea and is not what we need. And also sign petitions — legislators actually read those and look at those to help form their opinions,” Krause said. “So I encourage everyone to go to our Web site — Liberty Counsel Web site — sign the petition, but also call your Congressman,” he added.

The legislation passed the House in April. If it passes the Senate, President Obama is expected to sign it into law.
