Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America ‘ crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged it. Big surprise! Since it hit the internet, however, it has had over 500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. It’s happening right now.

Opinion: For those to young to remember, the title I added to this story, should have read “Were not in America anymore”. I have my own story to add. Our local school here in Pa, Owen J. Roberts a farming community, also had a run with the Civil Liberties Union.

I tried to find the News paper Article on it, but to no avail.

A true story_ The year eludes me, but, A soon to be Graduate of Owen J Roberts, decided to exercise her right as a non believer in God and called the ACLU in attempts to squash prayer given at the commencement ceremony. Much to our dismay, and to every ones shock, the Girl, her parents and the ACLU won the case, and all forms of religion were stricken from school.

I come from a religious family, we prayed before dinner and went to church every Sunday and Holidays.As a child, We made reference to God in school, had silent Meditation and had Christmas parties and knew the true meaning of Christmas and Easter. We were content to be so, as it was all we knew. We never feared anyone would tell us it was wrong.

We now live in the age of “POLITICAL CORRECTIVENESS” at least everyone else does. I however, do what I want and say what I want, if no one likes it, that’s tough! It seems that every one has to be right these days. They have to be important, in the lime light and to make their beliefs known. What’s worse, no one seems to accept anyone else’s beliefs, without trying to change them. We have a mixture of TOLERANCE FOR EVERYTHING OR A TOLERANCE FOR NOTHING. We’re expected to accept Gay/ Lesbianism, Trans-sexuals, lifestyles, according to today’s standards, But it’s un-acceptable to pray in a public place. The Generation of today isn’t comfortable treading their own path, they aren’t comfortable or content to be themselves and blending into this great vast melting pot of ours, so they try and change it, so they won’t have to work at it. It’s called control. A “You change so I won’t have to” attitude. I prefer to call these kind of folk, spoiled brats who need their ass’s waxed once in a while. “Oh, but that’s unacceptable today, that may injure their little personalities”. Every one allowed to run a muck. No discipline today. Disapline had been turned into a sign on the walls of school 1-800- ABUSE . Disapline today, is a “time out”. Time alone or without a favorite toy. A time out for my kids was a slap across the ass, if they misbehaved and we’ren’t getting the picture. I never hit them for no reason, but my kids knew when they got a slap, I meant business.

We are raising a generation of pussy’s today. Pardon my lack of tact. But we are. My kids knew I loved them, but they also knew as long as they were under my roof and I was paying the bills, they towed the line and followed the rules according to our home. Oh, yeah, I tried, today’s method of disapline and gentleness and tolerance, while our daughter experimented with Heroin. After her stealing us blind, selling items out of the house, stealing cars & money, I came to my senses and had her arrested and thrown in jail for stealing my dad’s car. I told her, through jail bars, I love you, but I can’t make you want to get up in the morning, you’ve got to have another reason besides drugs, to make you want to live your life. It was hard, damn hard. But ya know what, she’s clean today, after 6 years and happily married with two adorable kids, she’s productive and enjoys her life. It’s called tough love folks and it works. If you let kids run a muck you have another generation like today, of spoiled brats. Lazy, and accepting evil over good. With no path other than a destructive one. They grow up to believe in lawsuits and treading on someone else’s freedoms to get their own way, if we are going to stand and let them do it, then it’s shame on us. The bible and prayer have been spat on, hidden., torn and ridiculed through the ages, God and the bible always, emerge a little dusty but virtually unscathed. The mere fact of my knowing this, makes me smile.
